The municipal council has adopted a proposal for the first town plan Kommune Qeqertalik. The town plan describes our vision and objectives for the municipality’s development in the next 12 years until 2030.
The town plan has become digital and it increases accessibility for citizens, administrators, authorities and politicians. This digital town plan aims at anyone who wishes to know more about the rules, procedures, regulations and plans that apply in the municipality or want to know what visions the municipality has for the future.
With the Planning Strategy 2017 is was adopted to carry out a partial revision of the town plan and that the proposal for the new Town Plan 2018-30, should pay particular attention to planning for development of tourism and industry. Concurrently, attention is on infrastructure development, which awaits decision on the realization of the three programs on infrastructure and airports.
The proposal for the town plan is t in public hearing for the next 8 weeks. During this period, it is possible for all citizens, companies, institutions, associations, etc. to make comments and amendments. After the public hearing, the municipal council may consider any objections and amendments, and then adopt the proposal as a final plan.
